Ivan is a medicine musician, working with flutes since more than 16 years. Putumayo has a rich culture of wind instruments - where the Andean meet the Amazon. When you play the instrument, it´s like playing a soul, because the woods, bamboos and reeds, before they were taken from earth, were alive. And respecting this energy, the instruments are created.
Recycling woods - rescuing ancestors: In nearly all instruments you will find a piece of wood which was thrown away. The instruments are made of trees and plants which for many years were cultivated by Mother Earth.
